Carol Jean Kosterman, age 89, of Berlin, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Patriot Place in Berlin.
She was born July 1, 1935, in Racine, WI, the daughter of Ella Heideman Blum. Carol was a 1953 graduate of Park High School. On April 6, 1980, she was united in marriage to Le Roy Kosterman at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Racine.
Carol was a secretary for Christ the King Lutheran Church in Racine, a deaf interpreter and was a receptionist/switchboard operator at Twin Disc. Her giving heart served her well as a Racine Hospital volunteer. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Berlin.
Betty Jane Delzer, age 60, of Berlin, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, following a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin.
She was born December 17, 1963, in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Paul “Chris” and Diane Lippert Delzer. Betty was a 1982 graduate of Winneconne High School. Betty attended and completed the nursing program at Fox Valley Technical College. She was the first person in her family to complete a post-secondary education.
Growing up she had a special love for horses. This lifelong passion started on her family’s horse ranch. Betty started riding at age two. She was guiding trail rides by age seven. Betty enjoyed participating in horse shows and had a special pony named Bingo that was her show buddy. She also spent much of her youth on her grandparents’ farm on Lake Poygan hunting, fishing and swimming.
Patrick William Burneske, age 81, of Berlin, formerly Milwaukee, died peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin.
He was born July 6, 1943, the son of John and Martha Szymzack Burneske.
Patrick worked for Milwaukee Public School System in the heating and cooling maintenance department, as well as other factories and industrial work. He enjoyed doing stained glass art and repair, woodworking projects, and making gifts for his family.
Betty Jo Cartwright, age 60, of Berlin, died unexpectedly at her residence on Friday, November 15, 2024.
She was born March 16, 1964, in Richland Center, WI, the daughter of Donald and Geraldine Callaway Williams. Betty worked as a core finisher at Berlin Foundry for 12 years. She gave of her time to care for her mother and others. Betty especially enjoyed spending time with her family and would often bake and sew for them.
James Ellis Marotz, age 78, of Berlin, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah.
He was born August 2, 1946, in Portage, WI, the son of Eldon and Jean Curtis Marotz. Jim was a 1965 graduate of Berlin High School. He was a “Jim-of-all-trades”, working for McDonalds, Kustom Klean, and for many years as a shoemaker at W.C. Russell Moccasin Co. Jim was an avid Packers fan and loved working on model trains. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Fairburn.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mark Ray Timm, of Berlin, Wisconsin, who passed away November 7, 2024, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends.
Mark was a 1974 graduate of Berlin High School. He drove Greyhound bus for a few years, over the road truck for a short time and finished with driving milk truck in the local area.
Duane Roy “Pudge” Rogers, age 93, of New Holstein, formerly of Redgranite, died peacefully on Monday, November 4, 2024, at LakeHouse of New Holstein. He was born at home on June 26, 1931, in Poy Sippi, WI, the son of Rolland and Naomi Everett Rogers. Truck driver.

However, those few sentences do not take into account that after graduating Manawa High School, Pudge drove truck from the age of 18 until he retired at 85 years old with a break during the Korean War when he served as a helicopter mechanic in the Army. He was a confirmed bachelor, until he met Janet Piette Lind and her children, Richard and Cheryl. He knew immediately they were meant to be his family. On March 27, 1967, they were united in marriage at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Poy Sippi.
Alice May “Ollie” Wrage, age 82, formerly of Pine River died peacefully on Monday, November 4, 2024, at Providence Terrace Villas in Appleton.
She was born January 10, 1942, in the Township of Leon, the daughter of Norbert and Josephine Peterson Wrage. Ollie was a 1960 graduate of Wild Rose High School and attended Wautoma Normal School.
Ollie worked for Valley Packaging in Appleton. She enjoyed children and loved caring for her nieces and nephews over the years. Ollie was an avid Bible reader, loved singing, playing UNO, doing word search games, coloring, embroidery and cats. She was baptized, confirmed and a member at First Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi.
