Jerrol L. “Jerry” Main

Jerrol Lee “Jerry” Main, age 77, of Berlin, died peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Eden Vista in Ripon.

He was born August 6, 1947, in Sturgis, MI, the son of Charles and Lucille Hoover Main. Jerry was a 1965 graduate of Sturgis High School. On January 12, 2018, he was united in marriage to Donna Lee Myers at Eldon Assembly of God Church in Eldon, IA.

Jerry worked as a supervising engineer in Kansas, WI, IL and IA, for 15 years in each state, including Berlin Foundry. He enjoyed boating and spending time outdoors. Jerry was a member of Faith Community Church in Berlin.

Jedediah B. Justice

Jedediah Brach Justice, age 19, of Berlin, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

He was born March 11, 2005, in St. George, UT. Jed was a 2023 graduate of Snow Canyon High School in Santa Clara, UT.

Jed loved the ocean, tubing, anything outdoors and especially on the water. He was an incredibly loyal and genuine friend and was known for his humor. He looked up to his two siblings, Jesse and Jillian. He is loved and will be deeply missed by all.

Lois W. Harrison

Lois Wilda Harrison, age 99, of Poy Sippi, died peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Juliette Manor in Berlin. She had recently celebrated 99 years of a well-lived life.

She was born at home on August 12, 1925, in the Township of Leon, WI, the youngest child of William and Iva Culver Wendt. Lois was Prom Queen her junior year and a 1942 graduate of Wild Rose High School. After her high school graduation, she and three girlfriends rented a cabin for a month on Little Silver just outside of Wild Rose. This summer’s “Over Fifty Reunion” marked 80 years since her graduation and reportedly perfect attendance at all her alumni reunions.

She was a life-long resident of Waushara County and often talked about taking the steamboat from Tustin down to Oshkosh for the day to shop with her mother and older sisters. Lois furthered her education at Waushara County Normal, becoming a schoolteacher. Her first teaching assignment was at Diamond School in Grand Marsh and later taught at Copenhagen School located on the Russell Harrison farm in Poy Sippi.

Terry L. Werch

Terry L. Werch, age 72, of the Town of Nepeuskun, died suddenly on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin.

He was born December 28, 1951, the son of Lloyd and Patricia Phillip Werch. Terry was a 1972 graduate of Berlin High School. Early in life, he worked as a trail guide in Montana and was a home builder in Colorado before moving back to the Berlin area. He worked in Oshkosh for Arrowhead Conveyer for several years.
