Charlotte L. Zimmer

Charlotte Lilian Theresa Zimmer, age 91, of Berlin, died peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Brown Wilcox in Berlin.

She was born October 28, 1925, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Walter and Selma Schmidt Zipter. Charlotte was a graduate of Milwaukee Girls Tech High School.

Charlotte was an executive secretary for DeBelak Brothers Plumbing & Heating, Allis Chalmers and after retirement, she worked at Dollar Tree. She volunteered at DePaul Hospital in Milwaukee for 20 years. Charlotte loved the theater, library and reading, especially mysteries. She was a mystery book critic and a member of Mystery Book Writers Club. Charlotte was a member of Centennial Evangelical Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Heidi (Ronald) Zimmer-Koschnick; grandchildren, Megan Noonan and Brendan Noonan, great-grandchildren, Hailey, Sopheara and Chase; sister, Lorraine Peters; and very dear friend, Donna Rebich. Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; and 14 brothers and sisters.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on _Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Centennial Evangelical Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Rev. Greg Pufahl officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin.
