Marla J. Krause

Marla Joy Krause, age 68, of Berlin, died peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Juliette Manor.

She was born August 23, 1954, in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Paul and Jeanette Lee Wesner. She was a 1972 graduate of Berlin High School. On June 22, 1974, she was united in marriage to Dean Krause at Borth United Methodist Church.

Marla worked for Gabriel’s Villa in Oshkosh as a CNA, Sentry Foods in Berlin at the checkout counter, Sand Knit, and Stencil Air in Green Lake. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Fairburn. Marla enjoyed hiking the outdoors and camping, needlepoint, gardening and especially fishing with her son, Brent, and assisting her husband in his wedding photography. She always enjoyed helping people and putting a smile on their faces.

She is survived by her husband, Dean; one son, Brent (significant other); one sister, Sherry (Manford) Thompson; one brother, Paul II (Sue) Wesner; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her two canine companions, Wylee and Teasha.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel, Rev. Gregory Sluke officiating. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Juliette Manor for their kind and compassionate care of Marla over the years.
