LeRoy F. Kosterman

LeRoy Frances Kosterman, age 83, of Berlin, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Patriot Place in Berlin.

He was born November 14, 1933, in Racine, the son of Arthur and Elizabeth Shibilsky Kosterman. Lee was a 1952 graduate of St. Catherine High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1952-1956. On April 6, 1980, he was united in marriage to Carol Blum-Andersen at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Racine.

Lee worked for Wisconsin Telephone Co., AT&T and St. Luke/St. Mary’s Hospital. He enjoyed volunteering at Second Time-Around Resale Shop and was a member at Berlin Senior Center and All Saints Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; two daughters, Susan (Paul) Sander and Sheri Kostic; two sons, Daniel (June) Kosterman and Steven Kosterman; one granddaughter, Julie (Dan) Floistad; and two great-grandsons. He is further survived by Carol’s family, his step-children, Peggy (Randy) Peterson, Mark (Iris) Andersen and Suzette Dederick; step-grandchildren, Kelly (Nick) Briski, Erin (Mark) Boe and Laura (Jason) Kralovetz; and 14 step-great-grandchildren. Lee was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, David Kosterman, Eugene Kosterman, Rev. Richard Kosterman and Daniel Kosterman; and two sisters, Mary (Frank) Zibley and Sister Kathreen Kosterman.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 1, at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church in Berlin, with Father David Greenfield officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
