Mary Nell Konow
Mary Nell Konow, age 90, of Ripon, died peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2019 (her birthday) at Theda Care Regional Medical Center-Appleton.
She was born December 8, 1929, in Green Lake County, WI, the daughter of Edward and Minnie Genentz Thiel. Mary Nell was a 1947 graduate of Ripon High School. On November 5, 1947, she was united in marriage to David A. Konow at Our Saviour’s United Church of Christ in Ripon. She worked at Speed Queen and Miles Kimball before becoming an office clerk for Berlin Foundry, where she worked for 24 years.
Mary Nell is survived by her son, Gary; daughter, Betsy (William) Tunnel; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, David, on November 28, 1999, and daughter, Gail Schultz.
