Genevieve J. Kempf
Genevieve Jane Kempf, age 92, of Fremont, died peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Century Oaks Assisted Living in Appleton.
She was born October 8, 1929, in Weyauwega, WI, the daughter of George and Ella House Radtke. Genevieve was a 1947 graduate of Weyauwega High School. On September 3, 1950, she was united in marriage to Arnold J. Kempf at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega.
Genevieve worked for Taylor Cheese Corporation in Weyauwega. She was an active member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Bloomfield, enjoying her duties with the Ladies Aid. Genevieve liked working with plants and flowers and taking trips with Betty and Arden Schmoldt.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold; son, Brian (Sue) Kempf; three granddaughters, Michelle (Mark) Anadell, Angela (Josh) Moderson and Ashley (Scott) Romnek; seven great-grandchildren, Logan, Dylan, Mikayla, Sawyer, Parker, Kadyn and Carter; and nieces and nephews. Genevieve was preceded in death by her four sisters, twin, Geneva (Bob) Lauer, Audrey (Winfred) Jabs, Georgia (Allen) Schlatter and Phyllis (Abe) Taylor; and her first husband, LaVern Leaupold.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Bloomfield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Paul Fritz officiating. Interment will be in East Bloomfield Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola-Hempel Funeral Chapel in Poy Sippi.
