Margery Ann Hunt

Margery Ann Hunt, age 86, of Berlin, died peacefully on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Juliette Manor in Berlin.

She was born April 8, 1929 in Green Lake County, WI, the daughter of Walter and Mary Shikoski Abraham. Margery was a 1946 graduate of Ripon High School. On August 7, 1948, she was united in marriage to Norman B. Hunt.

Margery worked for many years as a sewer at Sand Knit. She later worked for Butch’s Bakery and at Walmart before her retirement. Margery was a faithful member of All Saints Catholic Church, and served as a volunteer at Berlin Memorial Hospital and the Second Time Around Shop. For hobbies, she enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting.

Her survivors include a son, Deacon Thomas Hunt; and a daughter, Georgia (David) Lewis; two grandchildren, Robert Lewis and Kristin (Patrick) Braun; two great-grandchildren, Abbigail and Lukas; her sister, Ann Evans; brother, James (Ann) Abraham; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Norman, who passed on July 16, 2001.

Visitation will be held on Saturday morning, February 20, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church. Private Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be directed to the Berlin Catholic School Endowment Fund.
