Judith “Judy” Hansen
Judith “Judy” Hansen, age 85, of Howell, Michigan, formerly of Berlin, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 9, 2022.
She was born November 2, 1936, in De Pere, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Florence Kellermann Van Sistine. Judy met the love of her life, Paul Hansen, at a diner in Berlin after she flirtatiously tossed a wet paper towel at him to get his attention. They were united in marriage on June 7, 1958, in Green Lake and enjoyed 63 years of love. Most important to Judy was spending time with her family and she loved going to the casinos.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Paul; daughter, Karen (Bob) Brewer; five grandchildren, Annie (Matt) Huffer, David (Amanda) Brewer, Allison (Adam) Migliore, Kristen (Kyle) Burley and Rachel (Brandi Lajoie) Brewer; 10 great-grandchildren, Jason, Owen, Abel, Oliver, Oakley, Sophia, Jonah, Karley, Otis and Audrey; son-in-law, Robin White. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Lynne White; and brother, John Van Sistine.
A graveside service with inurnment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin.
