Leo C. Cassidy
Leo Charley Cassidy, age 76, of the Township of Poy Sippi, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at his home.
He was born September 20, 1938 in the Township of Poy Sippi, the son of Edward and Adrienne Eldred Cassidy. Leo was a 1957 graduate of Berlin High School, never missing a day of school all four years. He served in the Army National Guard at Fort Lewis. On February 15, 1975, he was united in marriage to Jean Abhold at St. Mary Catholic Church in Winneconne.
Leo was a dairy farmer his whole life and enjoyed boating. He was a member of Loyal 4-H Club.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; two sons, Shawn (Michele) Cassidy and Gene (Crystal) Cassidy; a daughter, Carey Cassidy (fiancé Dan Johannes); four grandchildren, Tori and Jordan Cassidy and Edward and Cye Cassidy; and great-granddaughter, Abbigail O’Kon. Leo was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Mary Cassidy.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, the Rev. Peg Salmela officiating. Friends and relatives may call on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral chapel. Online condolences may be sent to the family at barbolafc@yahoo.com.
