Joanne N. Bulchuck
Joanne Norma Bulchuck, age 93, of Berlin, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Patriot Place in Berlin.
She was born July 16, 1929, in Poy Sippi, the daughter of John and Winnifred Everett Wendt. Joanne was a 1947 graduate of Berlin High School. On November 8, 1953, she was united in marriage to Eugene Jastremski. He preceded her in death in September 1966. On January 24, 1970, she was united in marriage to John Bulchuck.
Joanne worked for Berlin Chapman Foundry in the accounting and payroll department for 34 years. She was a member of Grace English Lutheran Church in Berlin. Joanne enjoyed reading and knitting for all of her family members. She and John enjoyed traveling together, and while at Patriot Place, liked to partake in bingo and playing cards.
She is survived by her seven nieces, LuAnn (Steve) Holec; Sue Thoma and her children, Tiffany and son, Dierks, and Tyler (Amy); Bonnie (Wayne) Lundt and their children, Gina (Chris), Jonathan (Angie) and Jamie (Laura); Joni Perr and her son, Clare (Kim); Wendy (Rich) Swansby and their children, Dacy (Ricardo) and Lindsey (Chris); Amy (Dan) Angle and their children, Jacob and Jennifer; and Jill (Jeff) Neitzke and their children, Jessika (Jeremy), Justine (Cody), Jake and Jasey. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, John, on May 21, 2012; sister, Geraldine and brother-in-law, Ace Thoma; two nephews, Tom Thoma and Clare Perr; and great-nephew Jason Perr.
Graveside services with Rev. Rebekah Tarras officiating and inurnment will be held on Tuesday, June 6, at 11:00 a.m., at Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin.
