Daniel W. Boese
Daniel W. Boese, age 90, died peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Prairie Place in Ripon.
He was born January 28, 1926 in the Township of Brooklyn, the son of Frank and Marguerite Nehls Boese. He attended Dayton and Green Lake Schools. Dan served his country in the U.S.A.F. from 1946-1950, and was stationed in post war Germany most of that time. On April 18, 1953, he was united in marriage to Mable Wuske. Dan was employed at Berlin Foundry from 1950 until his retirement in 1991. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake.
He is survived by four daughters, Marie (Robert) Jach, Marlene (Gerald) Piechowski, Joyce (Adam) Daniels, and Marion (Howard) Wiese; five grandchildren, Joshua Jach, Jason Piechowski, Melissa Niemuth, Amanda Wiese and Timothy Wiese; three great-grandchildren, Valerie, Benjamin and Zachery Siebers; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife on January 12, 2015; his parents; a sister, Mary Zimar; and two brothers, Warren and Jack Boese.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 30, at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Green Lake, the Rev. Rodney Dietsche officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be in Dartford Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin is serving the family.
