Marion H. Neitzke

Marion Helen Neitzke, age 90, of Brewton, AL, formerly of Berlin, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at The Meadows of Brewton, AL.

She was born February 3, 1935, in Berlin, WI, the daughter of Paul and Augusta Schultz Boening. On May 29, 1954, she was united in marriage to Gordon Neitzke at Grace English Lutheran Church in Berlin. They would have celebrated 71 years of marriage this year.

Marion was employed at Berlin Pharmacy as a Salesclerk, at Super Value as a Deli Manager and a gift store in Ocala. She was involved in her children's activities, such as Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Marion was active in her church serving as Sunday School Treasurer, a circle chairwoman and sang in the church choir. She liked cooking and working in her flower garden. Marion was a Green Lake County Board Supervisor and was on the Wau-Bun Girl Scout Council Board. She was a member of Grace English Lutheran Church in Berlin, WI, Joy Lutheran Church in Ocala, FL and Messiah Lutheran Church in Panama City, FL.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Jill) Neitzke; daughter, Karen (Phil) Pik; six grandchildren, Amanda (David) Madell, Emily (Bradley) Dykes, Jessika Holman (special friend, Zach Hill), Justine (Cody) Ainsworth, Jake Neitzke (fiancé, Melissa Butzlaff) and Jasey Neitzke (special friend, Saul Vega); and five great-grandchildren, Hailee, Hayden, Caden, Monica and Corinne. Marion was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gordon Neitzke, on February 2, 2018; sister, Lillian (Raymond) Schmuhl; nephew, Dennis Schmuhl; nephew-in-law, Merle Strelow; and her in-laws, Walter (Frieda) Neitzke, Elmer (LaVerna) Neitzke, Harold (Freida) Neitzke, Vernon (Ramona) Neitzke, Arlene (Arthur) Gade and Hilbert Neitzke.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Panama City Beach, on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Graveside services will be held later this summer at Bush Cemetery in Berlin, WI, Rev. Rebekah Tarras officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. A memorial has been established.
