Theodore L. “Ted” Froechte Sr.
Theodore Leo “Ted” Froechte Sr., age 96, of Redgranite, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Preston Place.
He was born June 13, 1928, in Sheboygan, WI, the son of Leo and Emma Kuskabar Froechte. Ted was a 1948 graduate of Sheboygan North High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952.
Ted was an installer of telephone equipment and lines for Western Electric, and for eight years he worked for USA Today newspaper. Never wanting to be idle, he also sold real estate and had a pilot’s license. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Redgranite.
He is survived by his children, Ted (Pam) Froechte Jr., Debra Boehnlein, Mary Jo (Glen) Evans and Paul (Kelly) Froechte; grandchildren; brother, Leo (Barbara) Froechte; and nieces. Ted was preceded in death by his son, Glen Froechte.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, March 31, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at St. Mark Catholic Church in Redgranite. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., with Father JP Nemali officiating. Inurnment with military honors will be at 2:00 p.m. in Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Memorials may be directed to St. Mark Catholic Church in Redgranite.
