Shane S. Fairfield
Shane Stuart Fairfield, age 56, of Berlin, died unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, June 3, 2024.
He was born September 10, 1967, in Manitowoc, WI, the son of Harold and Shirley McHugh Fairfield. Shane was a 1985 graduate of New Holstein High School. He then joined the U.S. Air Force, where he served nearly 27 years from July 1985 until he retired as a Master Sergeant in March 2011.
Shane is survived by his son, Alek Fairfield; daughter, Sheena (Son) Le; four grandchildren; parents, Harold and Shirley Fairfield; sister, Deb (Michael) McCash; two brothers, Alan (Marsha) Fairfield and Eric (Tamara) Fairfield; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, June 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel, 2786 Algoma Blvd., Oshkosh. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment, with full military honors, will be in Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin.
