Timothy P. “Timmy” Koch

Timothy Paul “Timmy” Koch, age 58, of Pine River, died peacefully at his home in the Township of Leon on Sunday, July 14, 2024.

He was born October 1, 1965, in Portage, WI, the son of Daniel and Phyllis Smith Koch. He was a 1984 graduate of Weyauwega High School and he went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force from 1984 until 1990. On March 15, 2024, he was united in marriage to Becky Macijeski at their home.

In 1993, Tim started his career in the maintenance department at Waupaca Foundry, eventually retiring in January 2024, after nearly 31years of service. Timmy enjoyed many pastimes. He liked to fish, especially for walleye. He enjoyed being a part of Men’s League golf and loved to team up to go an extra round and beat his brother Rory. Tim was proud to be a two-time champ at the Weymont Run Country Club where he was also a member. He loved traveling, with his wife, Becky Macijeski, whom he "finally got" to marry him this past March. Afterwards, they were blessed to be able to enjoy one last vacation along the shore of Lake Superior, exploring Copper Harbor, Bond Falls and many other beautiful sights together along the way. When his girls were growing up, they traveled to Ohio, South Dakota, Michigan, Florida and many Wisconsin campgrounds making memories along the way. Another passion of Tim's was going for rides on his Harley Davidson. He even taught Becky to drive it, most certainly giving him extra gray hairs! Tim's other joy came from being “Papa” and spending time with his beloved grandkids. In fact, he spent so much time with them we think that he gave little Owen his love for tractors and Preston and Emma picked up all sorts of Monday night wrestling moves that they insist on trying out.

He is survived by his wife, Becky; mother, Phyllis; two daughters, McKenzie Koch and Reba Koch (Austin Goetsch); two step-sons, Josh Macijeski (Lizeth Patino) and Christopher (Ceairra) Macijeski; step-daughter, Kimberly Macijeski; three grandchildren, Owen Goetsch and Preston and Emma Macijeski; brothers and sisters, Wade Koch, Jody Koch, Rory (Julie) Koch and Dana Soerens; brothers- and sisters-in-law, James Stemwedel, Cindy (Bob) Carr, Debby Neuens, Brenda Koch and Mike Neuens; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel; brother, Todd Koch; sister, Toni Stemwedel; and brother-in-law, Marc Soerens.

A Celebration of Tim’s life will be held on Sunday, July 28, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at Weymont Run Country Club, N1061 County Road V, Weyauwega. A very special thank you to Sarah, Niki and the entire team at ThedaCare at Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola-Hempel Funeral Chapel in Poy Sippi.
