Adeline F. Hart
Adeline Flavia Hart, age 94, formerly of Berlin, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Yorkshire Village in Hemet, CA.
She was born November 22, 1929, on the family farm in Pine River, WI, the daughter of Frank and Elsie Gehrke Frazier. Adeline was a 1947 graduate of Wild Rose High School. She loved high school and attending reunions and she did so as often as she could through 2017. On November 5, 1949, she was united in marriage to Robert Hart Sr. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Berlin. After a time apart, Bob and Adeline found love again and remarried in 1973. They enjoyed life and family together until his passing.
Adeline worked various jobs including Steele’s and the Whiting Hotel in Berlin and Rippin’ Good Cookie Factory in Ripon. The job she cherished most was her time as a dental assistant to Dr. William Hastreiter in Berlin. Up until the end, she loved noticing people's teeth and talking about her time working for a dentist. A high compliment was when Adeline would say to you, "You take care of those teeth!"
In 1996, Adeline was given another chance at love when she met Norman Ernest Hansen (also a Wisconsin native, but he resided in California). Adeline moved to California and began the ride of her life, getting to explore places throughout the country with Norm that she only previously dreamed of. She finally got to see palm trees, the ocean and all things Frank Sinatra! While they never married, Adeline and Norm shared a long and fulfilling life together until his death. To know Adeline is to know she loved to entertain and socialize; hosting cocktail hour and sharing a toddy was a favorite (she loved the look of a martini!).
She is survived by her son, Robert (Linda) Hart Jr.; two grandchildren, Michelle Hart (Tim Carter) and Robert (Rachel) Hart III; three great-grandchildren, Samuel Hodsden, Jackson Hodsden and Wilderness Hart; one sister, Mary Frazier Malnory; and many nieces and nephews from both the Frazier and Hart sides of the family. Adeline was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hart Sr., on November 12, 1993; brother, Arden Frazier; sister, Lola Frazier Olsen; and significant other, Norm Hansen, on April 17, 2024.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. Interment will be in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Berlin. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Anyone wishing to send a sympathy card to the family, please mail to Adeline Hart, c/o Barbola Funeral Chapel, PO Box 201, Berlin, WI 54923.
