Patricia L. Quillen

Pat Quillen, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on the morning of January 16, 2025. She was 73 years old and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born and raised in Roslyn, Long Island, NY, Pat moved to Los Angeles in her teenage years after the passing of her mother. It was in California that she graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in History. Her adventurous spirit took her to Anchorage, Alaska, where she spent several years documenting the implantation of the Alaskan oil pipeline.

After her time in Alaska, she moved back to the Bay Area, where she built a life with her two children, Robert and Christopher. While in the Bay Area, she developed an interest in electronics, an interest that would turn into a lifelong passion. She studied electronics, ultimately becoming an accomplished electronics technician. Her talent and dedication led her to open her own business, wiring office buildings for local businesses.

In the late 1990s, Pat moved to Wisconsin, where she met her husband, John. The couple settled in Wautoma, where Pat continued her career as a technician and also became involved in the operation of Country Discount Grocery Store that she and John co-owned with their neighbors.

She was taken from us far too soon, but her legacy of hard work, perseverance, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest in peace, Pat. You will be missed more than words can express.

Patricia is survived by her husband, John; two children, Robert and Christopher; stepchildren, Julie and Bill; and six grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Memorials may be directed to any local Humane Society of your choice.
