Judith A. Fabricius
Judith Ann “Judy” Fabricius, age 92, of Waupaca, formerly of Berlin, died peacefully on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Theda Care Regional Medical Center in Neenah.
She was born November 12, 1931, in Berlin, WI, the daughter of Merritt “Bill” and Helen Everz Gustin. Judy was a 1950 graduate of Berlin High School and received her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. On December 21, 1957, she was united in marriage to Ralph “Lefty” Fabricius at Union Congregational Church in Berlin.
In her early years, Judy was a Kindergarten teacher at Washington School in Berlin. Along with raising her family, Judy enjoyed golfing, skiing, swimming, dancing, knitting, quilting, reading and exercising. She was a volunteer at her church and with the Jaycettes. She was a member of Friends in Council, her bridge club and ladies’ coffee group.
Judy is survived by her husband of 66 years, “Lefty”; her son, Bill (Kathy) Fabricius; daughter, Suzanne Fabricius; granddaughters, Kiersten McNulty and Natay (Adria) Warren; and great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hazel Warren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Susan Gustin.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., at the funeral chapel, with Rev. Lauri A. Lumby officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
