Charles W. Brisky
Charles W. Brisky, age 60, of Berlin, died unexpectedly on Monday evening, May 14, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Charlie was born July 17, 1951 in Berlin, WI, the son of Florian “Bill” and Joan Rodensal Brisky. He was a 1969 graduate of Berlin High School. On September 24, 1982, he was united in marriage to Jill A. Katzenski at St. John Lutheran Church in Berlin. Charlie was co-owner of Brisky Heating and Air Conditioning in Berlin for over 40 years. He loved carving decoys, and duck hunting was his passion. He is survived by his wife, Jill; his son, William “Willie” Brisky; two sisters, Sara (Larry) Chier of Berlin and Georgia (Tom) Brooks of Beaver Dam; his brother, Jon (Peggy) Brisky of Berlin; sister-in-law, Sue (Jim) Flemming of Genesee Depot; his aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews; his daily coffee buddies and his faithful Sawbill Duck Club members. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Walter & Louise Rodensal, and Charles & Verona Brisky; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Fred & Martha Katzenski; sister-in-law, Jane Buege; and brother-in-law, Jack Katzenski. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 19 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, the Rev. Bryan G. Lundquist officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on Friday, May 18 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, and on Saturday at the church one hour prior to the service.
