Mary Jane Blanc

Mary Jane Blanc, age 89, formerly of Berlin, died peacefully on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Harbor House in Oshkosh. She was born December 23, 1922 in Horicon, WI, the daughter of Anton and Ann Willand Ruff. She was a graduate of Horicon High School and served in the “Waves” during World War II. On May 16, 1945, she was united in marriage to Neil E. Blanc. The couple moved to Berlin and operated Blanc’s Radio & TV Repair on North Washington St. for many years. Mary Jane was Catholic by faith. She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Michael) Gallagher of Bloomington, IL, and Caryn Blanc (husband Jeff) of Scottsdale, AZ; and a son Ken (Traci) Blanc of Fond du Lac; three grandchildren, Korey Blanc, Jill and Mark Gallagher; and by a great-grandchild, Carson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil on July 20, 1998, by her parents; and four sisters, Helen, Anne, Marge, and Katy. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Friends and relatives may call on Monday Morning from 10:30 a.m. until the service time at Barbola Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery near Auroraville.
