Florice Marcille Bahr

Florice Marcille Bahr, age 81, of Berlin, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Theda Clark Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on June 29, 1930 in Berlin, WI. Florice was the daughter of Fred and Leona Hempel Timm. She was a 1948 graduate of Berlin High School, after which she attended Columbia School of Nursing in Milwaukee. On December 29, 1951 she was united in marriage to Roland Bahr at Grace English Lutheran Church in Berlin. Florice was employed as an LPN at Berlin Memorial Hospital and later at Juliette Manor Nursing Home. Florice further worked at Berlin Public Library. She was a member of Grace English Lutheran Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Roland; two sons, James (Lorraine) Bahr of Hubertus and Gerald (Janet) Bahr of Waverly Hall, GA; one grandson, Alexander Bahr of GA; and one sister, Karyl (Michael) Bennett of Sedona, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace English Lutheran Church in Berlin, the Rev. Scott Piper and Rev. David Sielaff officiating. Inurnment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin. The family will receive friends and relatives from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be directed to Berlin Public Library, in lieu of flowers.
