Donna Mae Krebs
Donna Mae Krebs, age 76, formerly of Berlin, died unexpectedly on Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO, with her loving husband by her side.
She was born March 4, 1944, in Berlin, WI, the daughter of Mike and Vila M. Ashley Vetrone. Donna attended Wautoma High School and married her best friend and the love of her life, Russell Krebs on August 12, 1961. Donna worked from home during her child rearing years, then opened and ran her own real estate business for a number of years. From there she started temporarily at Speed Queen in Ripon, where she spent 17 years before her retirement.
Since retirement, Donna and Russ moved to Colorado where they built their dream home. She was going to make sure to make the very best of retirement and the rest of her life. Donna loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and family in general. She took pride in each and every one of them.
Donna always had a smile or a smerk on her face and a smart comment on her lips! She loved life, was vibrant, and fun-spirited! Donna was adored and loved by everyone who knew her. She was always first in line to lend a helping hand. Donna lived life to the fullest. She always said, “I have a lot of living to do,” and she did just that.
Donna is survived by her husband; her daughter, Bonnie (Phillip) Boyes; three sons, Russell Jr., Paul (Laura) Krebs and Rick (Bobbie) Krebs; eight grandchildren, Jacob (Amanda) Boyes, Tanner (Christina) Boyes, Aaron (Trish) Krebs, Jamie (Andrew) Moungey, Samantha Krebs, Michael Henke, Dean Krebs and Lauren Krebs; six great-grandchildren, Emma, Bailey, Haili, Dustin, Braylen, Gabriel, and expecting Lane, who will be born in August; her brothers and sisters, Eugene Vetrone, Gloria Rogers, Louis (Irene) Vetrone, Betty Rogers, Floyd Vetrone, Dorothy (Lyle) Schrank, Michael (Sue) Vetrone and Diane (Bill) Hadel. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, A. Michael, Dominick, William and Robert Vetrone; and sisters, Ethelyne Kresal and Virginia Schmude.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, with Rev. Thomas A. Zuhlke officiating. Interment will follow in Marion Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at Barbola Funeral Chapel.
