Gary L. Hopp
Gary Lee Hopp, age 66, of Wautoma, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton.
He was born March 8, 1956, in Waupun, WI, the son of Melvin and Mabel Messman Hopp. Gary attended Waupun schools. On April 27, 1985, he was united in marriage to Mary Weideman in Waupun.
Gary was a hard-working, self-employed painter for over 40 years, plus did lawn care. He enjoyed woodworking, his morning B.P. coffee club, his furry Shih tzu companion, “Chewie” and everything outdoors-snowmobiling, ATVing, camping, fishing and boating. He was a member and past president of Berlin River Riders Snowmobile Club.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, Travis (Sarah) Hopp, Terry Hopp (significant other, Tesia); and Ben Hopp (significant other, Kara); two brothers, Larry (Carol) Hopp and Dan (Vicki) Olsen; two sisters, Kim Olsen and Dawn (Steve) VanCamp; one brother-in-law, Ken Weideman (life partner, Betty); nieces, nephews, cousins and many wonderful friends. Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
