Dennis J. Herbst
Dennis James Herbst, age 62, of Neshkoro, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.
He was born September 13, 1956, in Berlin, the son of James and Dawn Miller Herbst. Dennis attended Berlin High School and was a welder at Generac Mobile Products for 17 years. He enjoyed living a simple life on his hobby farm, working on his Farmall and Ford tractors, watching truck and tractor pulls and hunting in years past.
Dennis is survived by his significant other of 27 ½ years, Linda Walters; two sons, Dennis (Becky) Herbst and Joey (Annie) Herbst; grandchildren, Hailey, Ryan, Tori, Lucas, Brett, Anthony, Gwendolynn, Ashley, Autumn and Ayden; Linda’s children, Chad (Lorraine) Rew and Jennifer Rew (fiancé, Jamie Herbst); four brothers, Jim Herbst (significant other, Laurie Bluhm), Garry (Cindy) Herbst, John (Mary) Herbst and Tom (Ruby) Herbst; and his faithful companion, Bibs, his cat. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Terry Herbst and Larry Herbst.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Funeral services will be held at Barbola Funeral Chapel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh.
