Dawn Bunker
Dawn Evelyn Fischer Bunker, of Oshkosh, passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born August 20, 1932 in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Otto W. and Evelyn Trumbull Fischer. She was a graduate of Oshkosh High School and attended Oshkosh Normal School. She later graduated from Dance Masters School in Chicago. On August 7, 1954, she was united in marriage to Donald Bunker at First Presbyterian Church in Oshkosh. Dawn was the owner and director of Dawn’s Academy of the Dance in Oshkosh. She was a Past Guardian of Job’s Daughters, Bethel #36 in Oshkosh, and was first Grand Bethel Guardian of the International Order of Job’s Daughters of WI. Dawn proudly attended Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Milwaukee. Dawn is survived by her daughter, Debra Jean Bunker; her cousin, Roy (Millie) Trumbull; their daughter, Linda (Tom) Polzin; nieces, Jan (Ross) Bannasch, Jean Fischer and Cindy Fischer; nephew, Brian Fischer; and a host of other family and friends throughout the U.S. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald, who passed away on September 28, 1992; her parents; two brothers, Clifford and Clinton; her sisters-in-law, Jeanette Fischer and Eldine Fischer; Don’s parents, Ray and Anna Bunker; brother-in-law, Charles Bunker and his wife, Dorothy; and sister-in-law, Lorraine. Funeral services for Dawn will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park in Oshkosh. Friends and relatives may call on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral chapel. Memorials may be given to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Crippled Children or the Choral Department at Immanuel Presbyterian Church.
