Margaret R. Bunke

Margaret R. Bunke, age 79, of Berlin, died peacefully on Monday, January 31, 2011 at her home. Margaret was born July 9, 1931 in Oshkosh, the daughter of Frederick F. Rolph and Mary McHugh Rolph. She was a graduate of Oshkosh High School and graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing. On May 5, 1961, she was united in marriage to Roland J. Bunke in Dubuque, IA. She worked as a nurse at Slick Airlines in Burbank, CA and at the Winnebago Mental Health Institute. Margaret is survived by her husband, Roland; a sister, Roberta (Edward) Scanlon of Sonoma, CA; and nephews, Kenneth Scanlon of Oxnard, CA and Philip Scanlon of Dunellen, NJ; and niece, Beth Bahr. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Thomas Rolph and Larry Rolph. The family prefers memorials be directed to MDA/ALS, the Berlin Public Library, or a charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin. A special thanks to niece, Beth Bahr, for her attention over the past few years and to her private caregivers, as well as Hospice personnel.
