Robert Alfred Anderson Sr.
Robert Alfred Anderson Sr., age 88 of Berlin, died on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Harbor Haven in Fond du Lac. Bob was born April 23, 1923 in Beloit, WI. He was the son of Harold and Martha Gilbertson Anderson. He was a graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. On January 4, 1947 he was united in marriage to Helen Marie Richards. She preceded him in death on December 4, 1984. On August 24, 2010 he married his companion of 25 years, Donna Marie Tadych Jacobs.
He was employed at Fairbanks, Morse & Co. of Beloit. Following his move to Berlin, he worked at Realist, Inc. and as Manager of Manufacturing at McQuay Perfex Fab. Division. Bob was a 45 year member of Berlin Lodge #38 F. & A. M., Wells-Krause VFW Post #2925, and Grace English Lutheran Church.
Bob is survived by his wife, Donna; two sons, Robert (Roberta) Anderson Jr. of Brownsburg, VA and David Anderson of Berlin; 5 grandchildren, Natalie Anderson of Brownsburg, VA, Ethan, Jenna, and Evan Anderson all of Berlin, and Tanya (Dudley Jr.) Flanders of Fort Smith, AK; 3 great-grandchildren, Madison, Mylee, and Ezra Flanders of Fort Smith, AK; 3 sisters, Ruth DeChene of Reno, NV, Evelyn Szymanski of Reno, NV, and Donna Anderson of San Jose, CA; 3 step-children, Cynthia (Greg) Reinhart, Deann (Pat) Lunden, and Christopher Jacobs; and 6 step-grandchildren, Ian and Avery Reinhart, Kara and Abby Lunden, and Sam and Spencer Jacobs. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Helen Anderson.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, the Rev. Scott Piper officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Interment will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin. Military honors will be performed by Wells-Krause VFW Post #2925. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel.
