Ann M. Young

Ann Marie Young, age 61, of Berlin, died peacefully on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh with family by her side.

She was born March 7, 1960, in Berlin WI, the daughter of Thomas C. and Carol Jensen Gonyo. Ann attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and was a 1978 graduate of Berlin High School. On February 24, 1979, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, William Young, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Berlin.

Ann devoted her whole life to her children and grandchildren, managing the family business and growing in her Catholic faith. She enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens, she shed, visiting white sandy beaches in Mexico, cooking for her family and the farm crew, and time with her friends at JET Fitness. Ann especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. She was a devoted member of All Saints Catholic Parish, volunteering her time and talents to several ministries and committees of the church.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, William; three sons, C.J. Young, Blaine Young (Kimber Clark) and Dylan (Sarah) Young; one daughter, Allyssa (Bryan) Fradette; nine grandchildren, Autumn, Ali, Jack, Ruby and Corah Young, Raymond, Lyla and Lily Fradette, and Finn Clark; five siblings; Thomas (Kim) Gonyo II, Joseph (Debra) Gonyo, Christopher (Kristin) Gonyo, Mary (Adam) Kurczek and Pat Gonyo; mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Young; sisters-in-law, Cindy (Francis) Stobbe, Cathy Jezwinski and Sue Hale (Mike Sullivan); many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her canine companion, Maya. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; and father-in-law, Lyle Young.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, September 13, at 10:00 a.m., at All Saints Catholic Parish in Berlin, Father John Silva officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 12, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the new All Saints Catholic School Building Fund.

The family wishes to thank Ascension Mercy Hospital ICU team for the care and compassion given to Ann and her family. Ann’s immediate family would also like to thank all the friends and family that reached out with love, prayers, support and food over the last few weeks.
