Mary L. Wuske

Mary Lynn Wuske, age 79, of Berlin, died peacefully on Thursday, February 18, 2021, at Patriot Place in Berlin.

She was born April 29, 1941, at home in Waukau, WI, the daughter of Willis and Dorothy Deyoe Tanner. Mary attended Eureka and Omro schools. On February 20, 1960, she was united in marriage to William Wuske in Waukau.

Mary spent her career working at Sand-Knit/Ripon Jacket, which made her an avid lover of all sports, retiring after 40+ years. Mary and her husband, William, enjoyed going to flea markets on “elephant hunts” for her collection. She loved to bake, making a variety of the best cookies ever, but was best known for her homemade apple squares. Mary enjoyed traveling with family and friends on bus trips and trying her luck at some favorite gambling spots. She was an avid Bingo and card player. Years later after her husband passed away, she and her special friend, Jim Rindfleisch, spent several years together continuing to enjoy her love of traveling. Mary was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Fairburn.

She is survived by her three children, Debra (Charles) Marvin, William (Connie) Wuske Jr. and Valerie (Scott) Coats; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth (Michael) Hiatt, Emily (Jeremy) Jess, Michelle Neubauer, Megan (Sam) Prellwitz, Robert (Maygan) Coats, Ronald (Christina) Coats and Rebecca (Deane) Bannenberg; 10+ great-grandchildren, Penelope and Elliana Hiatt, Wilder Jess, Ramsey, Archer and Silas Prellwitz, William, Michael, Levi, Rosealynn and future baby Isabella Bannenberg; one brother, Charles (Barbara) Tanner; two sisters-in-law, Yvonne Tanner and Darlene Tanner; brother-in-law, Richard Kettlewell; Jim’s children, Randy (Gina) Rindfleisch, Terry Rindfleisch (friend, Gina), John Rindfleisch (friend, Heidi); Jim’s grandchildren, Ethan, Ava, Jack, Ivan and Ashton; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Eldor Kirk; parents-in-law, Glenn (Lenore) Wuske; husband, William Wuske Sr., on July 8, 2002; five brothers, Edward, Donald, Richard, Mike and Gary Tanner; two sisters, Jean Tanner and Sandy Kettlewell; sisters-in-law, Marlene Tanner and Beverly Williams; in-laws, Luella (Warren) Boese, Glenda (Ron) Lesniak, Robert Wuske and Merle Wuske; and special friend, Jim Rindfleisch.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 23, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church at Fairburn. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., at the church, Rev. Gregory Sluke officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin.
