Mark H. Wendt

Mark Henry Wendt, age 69, of Neshkoro, WI, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018. He was born September 27, 1948, in Berlin, WI, the son of Wilma and Harry Wendt. Mark was a 1966 graduate of Berlin High School and attended vocational school for welding.

On January 19, 1974, he was united in marriage to Gloria Jean Weidner. Mark and Gloria recently celebrated 44 years of marriage. Mark worked as a welder at Oshkosh Truck, and most recently as a long haul truck driver at LandStar, with his wife, Gloria.

Mark was a racing enthusiast, who enjoyed watching as much as to race himself. He loved everything BIG, LOUD, and FAST. Mark was a big kid at heart. He was funny, outgoing, and a jokester. Mark spent most of his time tinkering in the garage working on various projects.

Mark was a beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather. Mark is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; four children, Melissa Wendt (Matthew) Trochinski, Rachelle Wendt, James Wendt, and Joel Malak; two grandchildren, Andrew Wendt and Hailie Trochinski; brother, Eugene Ficken; sister, Darlene (Cliff) Strey; many nieces and nephews; other family and friends; and his dogs, Sparky and Diesel. Mark was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Jane Watkins and Delores Frieze.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin.
