Nancy L. Rew
Nancy Lucille Rew, age 74, of Oshkosh, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Ascension Mercy Medical Hospital.
She was born April 2, 1947, in Waukesha, WI. Nancy attended Wild Rose schools. On January 2, 1965, she was united in marriage to Gary Rew in Wild Rose. They later divorced. Gary preceded her in death on July 12, 2019.
Nancy worked as a seamstress for Oshkosh B’Gosh until their closing, and then for Ripon Athletic until the time of her retirement in 2014. In her younger years, she volunteered and held offices in the Sandpit Fishing Club. Along with dancing, Nancy had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to play cribbage, always enjoyed the outdoors and traveling, making sure to do lots of tritzling in the water any chance she could. She had a fondness for butterflies and could always put a smile on everyone’s face. Nancy loved a good laugh!
She is survived by her children, Dennis Rew (fiancé, Kelly Becker), Kim “Kimmy” Rew (Rob Kropidlowski) and Kay “Kasey” Rew; nine grandchildren, Jason, Brandon, Peyton, Asher, Jamie, Michael, Sarah, Dylan and Sydney; two great-grandchildren, Huxley and Remy; siblings, Pat Kruger, Sue (Charles) Crow, Michael “Mick” Halkin, Vince (Kathy) Halkin and Ralph (Sandy) Halkin; and other relatives and special friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her father and mother, Michael and Lucille Vergins Halkin, brother, Cliff Higbie; and brother-in-law, Neil Kruger.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 30, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Rev.
