Helen D. Reilly
Helen Dorothy Reilly, age 88, of Berlin, died peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Patriot Place in Berlin.
She was born April 5, 1927, in Rosendale, the daughter of Adolph and Julia Gitzel Werch. On August 24, 1946, she was united in marriage to Charles Reilly in Berlin.
Helen worked for Berlin Pharmacy and Stoddards Foods. She was a great cook and loved providing baked goods for her family. Helen was a member of Faith Community Church and enjoyed bible study there.
She is survived by her five children, Judy (Dan) Miller, Harry (Patty) Reilly, Kathy Piper, Tim (Tracy) Reilly and Ann (Ed) Beaman; fourteen grandchildren, Deanna (Brad) Gregorius, Teresa (Dan) Lenz, Daniel M. (Melissa) Miller, Steven Miller, Jason (fiancé Jessica) Reilly, Matthew (Marie) Reilly, Sara (Brian) Resop, Sarah (Bruce) Culver, Angie (Joe) Schmidt, Paul Piper, Kerri Piper, Mike Piper, Joshua (Lindsey) Beaman and Justin (Crystal) Beaman; 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Liz Martin; brother, Art Werch; and special friends, Lorraine Wood and Dorothy Roggow. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 18, 1998; her parents; four sisters, Aredene Kotloski, Elma Grota, Ruth Feuerherm and Lois Wiesman; three brothers, Charles Werch, Herb Werch and Dick Werch; and a sister-in-law, Marcella Holmes.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Community Church in Berlin, the Rev. Terry Reiser officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday from Noon to 2:00 p.m. at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin.
