Cynthia L. Reagan

Cynthia L. Reagan, age 59, of Berlin, died peacefully on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Patriot Place in Berlin.

She was born November 23, 1956. Cindy was the daughter of Howard and Avis Shead Kolpin. She was a 1974 graduate of Berlin High School and Moraine Park Technical Institute where she received a diploma in Nursing Assistant in 1977 and in 1984, earned her Associates Degree in Secretarial Science-Medical, achieving placement on the Dean’s List. On December 19, 1987, she was united in marriage to Larry Reagan. They relocated to Milwaukee until the time of his retirement in 2001, when they moved back to Berlin, reuniting with friends, relatives and enjoying the comforts of easy country living.

Cindy was a receptionist at Kolpin Manufacturing, a secretary for Junior Achievement of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, a certified nurse’s aide at Juliette Manor and waitressed at numerous restaurants in Berlin and Green Lake, including Heidel House. Cindy’s proudest moment of accomplishment was with Junior Achievement when she was presented a Record Performance Award, which stated, “As an outstanding partner in enabling economic education to reach one million students a successful Junior Achievement Star.”

Cindy dealt with juvenile onset diabetes and its affects since age two. She was an extremely hard working woman who held down several jobs at the same time until she no longer could drive and became wheelchair bound and blind. She accepted this loss of independence with a great positive attitude and never seemed to complain. Cindy loved to play solitary when she could see. She enjoyed books on tape and listening to the Packer games on TV. Cindy was an avid collector of anything related to owls. She had a great mind for dates and numbers and always was the first to call on our birthdays. Cindy enjoyed and appreciated every day she was alive, especially the days her nephew, Scott Kolpin, came to visit her. She loved celebrating her birthdays with family. Cindy set an incredible example for us all...to accept what life deals you with a positive attitude, don't complain and just enjoy life every day with a smile! All are extremely grateful and appreciative for the 28 years of dedicated care and attention that Larry gave Cindy.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; brother, Ron (Maria) Kolpin; nieces and nephews, Scott (Kris) Kolpin, Dawn Kolpin (Gary) and Michelle Kolpin; step-daughter, Renee (John) Walls; step-son, Matthew Reagan; mother-in-law, Frances Hill; and step-sisters, Cheryl (Don), Debbie (Gary) and Sue (John).
