Arden R. Putzkie

Arden R. Putzkie, age 79, of Berlin, died peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Patriot Place in Berlin.

Arden was born November 24, 1937 in Lohrville, WI, the son of Ervin and Theresa Gustke Putzkie. He was united in marriage to Ruth Klick on January 25, 1980. Arden worked for Oshkosh Truck Corp for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the Packers. Arden was known for his chiming clocks and playful times with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by two daughters, Valerie (Doug) Scheuers, and Victoria (Mark) Arnett; grandchildren Ryan Verburgt, Ashley (Shawn) Winkler, Krystal Klaft (friend Israel Pantojas), and Matthew (Tera) Scheuers; 5 great-grandchildren, Shawna, Ashlyn, Taylyn, Tenley, and Marshall; a brother, Leo Putzkie; and sister, Gladys (Walter) Miller; brother-in-law, Paul Dailey; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; parents; and two sisters, Rose Dailey and Grace Stelter.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Visitation will continue at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Redgranite, the Rev. Gregory Sluke officiating. Interment will be in Poy Sippi Cemetery.
