James R. Peck

James Russell Peck, age 85 formerly of Berlin and Wautoma, died Monday, April 2, 2018 in Henderson, NV, where he had resided for the last 18 years.

He was born June 8, 1932 in Berlin, the son of Russell and Florence Carey Peck. Jim was a 1950 graduate of Berlin High School. On August 6, 1955 he was united in marriage to Lorretta Forrest at First Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi. Jim served his country in the U.S. Airforce for over 22 years, stationed in the Philippine Islands, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Canada, and North Dakota.

After his military career, Jim worked as a locksmith in Grand Forks, ND. He was an active member of First Henderson United Methodist Church in Henderson, NV.

Jim is survived by his wife, Loretta; son, William (Barbara) Peck; grandchildren, Jennifer (James) Robertson, Brittany (Josh) Haney, and Allie (Cody) Daniel; great-grandchildren, Carson, Lexi, Sydney, Brooklynn, Landon, Chloe, Ayden, Cassidy, and Corbin; sister, Judy (John) Eldred; and nieces, Kathryn (Jay) Klemann, Cindy (Mark) Hillesheim and Peggy Sue Eserkain. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Ardene Byrd.

Inurnment with Military Honors will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin, WI at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin.
