Jacqueline J. Lucas
Jacqueline Jean Lucas, age 67, of Omro, died peacefully on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Omro Care Center.
She was born December 28, 1951, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Harold and Edith Wroblewski Lucas. Jackie was a graduate of Casimir Pulaski High School in Milwaukee.
Jackie opened her heart and her home to all. The unloved, the forgotten, the rejected were never turned away. She would lend an ear, offer a meal or a warm place to rest. Her guidance was often vibrant and candid, but you never questioned her love. She loved all who were willing to accept it, fiercely and unconditionally.
Jackie is survived by her son, Nicholas Carr (Michelle Burr); daughter, Bethany (Justin) Gerber; one grandson, Ethan Gerber; two brothers, Brian Lucas and Scott (Laura) Lucas; nephew, Michael (Amanda) Lucas; and niece, Kristin Lucas. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Nicole Carr; and sister-in-law, Dawn Lucas.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, December 29, from noon to 4:00 p.m., at American Legion Post #27, 920 Monroe Avenue, South Milwaukee. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin.
