Adam W. Kurczek Sr.

Adam Walter Kurczek, age 94, of Neshkoro, died peacefully on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at home in the Township of Seneca with his family by his side.

He was born September 4, 1921 in Neshkoro, WI, the son of John and Rosalia Kurczek. On February 14, 1961, he was united in marriage to Josephine LaGrew. Adam worked many years at Berlin Foundry and he was also a dairy farmer in the Township of Seneca. He was an avid hunter, gardener and fisherman (Adam was the first person on and the last one off the ice). He also loved playing cards and enjoyed spending time with his family. Adam was a member of St. James Parish in Neshkoro.

He is survived by his children, Patty (Harry) Reilly, Rose (Alan) Yahr, Adam Jr. (Mary) Kurczek, Ann (Jamie) Nowak and Amy (Steve) Wagner; twelve grandchildren, Matt (Marie) Reilly, Sarah (Bruce) Culver, Angie (Joe) Schmidt, Mandy (Bryan) Schultz, Mitch (Caitlin) Yahr, Alli Yahr, Adam (Sara) Kurczek, Brad (Heather) Kurczek, Courtney (Michael) Judas, Justin (Britney) Wagner, Jennifer Wagner and Jacob Wagner (friend, Mariah Moe); nineteen great-grandchildren; sister, Agnes Beilmeier; sisters-in-law, Mary Phillips (special friend, Dick) and Barbara Kurczek; nieces, nephews and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine, on March 15, 2015; his parents; and his brothers, Roman, Frank and Leon.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 20, at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Neshkoro, the Rev. Dale Grubba officiating. Interment will be in St. James Catholic Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
