Joan V. Krause
Joan Veronica Krause, age 83, of Berlin, died peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Omro Care Center with her family by her side.
She was born June 24, 1932, in Eureka, WI, the daughter of Charles and Charlotte George Helmuth. On June 22, 1950, she was united in marriage to Burton Krause.
Joan worked at Ripon Foods for over 25 years and was a volunteer at Berlin Memorial Hospital. Her family was very important to her and she truly adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by them. Joan liked the outdoors and watching the outdoor wildlife daily. She attended many sporting activities her grandchildren enjoyed playing. She had fun playing cards (Sheepshead) with her brother and cousins, cooking, baking and puzzles.
She is survived by her son, DeWayne (Diana) Krause; daughter, Paula (Tom) Tritt; four grandchildren, Bobbi (Dan) Leben, Jeff (Chris) Tritt, Kasi (Scott) Ludwig and Mike (Abby) Tritt; eight great-grandchildren, Harrison and Gilson Leben, Haleigh and Mallory Tritt, Addison, Rilee and Brynli Ludwig and Samuel Tritt; sister, Veronica (Howard) Blank; and brother-in-law, Earl Wisotzke. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Burton, on June 28, 1998; parents; son, William; great- grandson, Dylan Tritt; brother, Kenneth (Delores) Helmuth; and two sisters, Elaine (Ivan) Craig and Arneda Wisotzke.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, the Rev. Douglas LeCaptain officiating. Interment will be in Eureka Cemetery.
