Patricia A. Kinziger
Patricia A. Kinziger, age 85, of Berlin, died peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2015 at her residence in Patriot Place.
She was born March 28, 1929 in Broadhead, WI, the daughter of Ralph and Vernice Matzke Pierce. On August 23, 1953 she was united in marriage to Raymond E. Kinziger. Pat was a 1946 graduate of Broadhead High School and later graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor Degree in Education. She taught school in several capacities.
Pat enjoyed travelling, going to the cottage and spending time with her family. She gave of herself and volunteered in the community by working in the hospital gift shop and the food pantry for many years. She always looked forward to her Monday morning coffee, Friends in Council and AAUW. Her kind, gentle manner and smile will be missed by all. Finally, Pat’s faith in God was very strong and her family takes comfort knowing that she is in a better place now with Him.
She is survived by her husband, Ray; one son, Dr. Steven (Karen) Kinziger; one daughter, Karen (Jim) Buckley; two grandchildren, Camille and Pierce; and a brother, Burton “Jack” (Betty) Pierce. Pat was preceded in death by her grandson, Davis.
Private memorial services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Berlin, the Rev. Scott T. Piper officiating. Private inurnment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin. Memorials may be directed to Agnesian Hospice Hope. Online condolences may be sent to the family at barbolafc@yahoo.com.
