James D. Kettlewell

James David Kettlewell, age 81, of Pine River, died peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Theda Clark in Neenah.

He was born March 19, 1934 in the Township of Aurora, the son of John and Clara Kraft Rumsey. Jim was a 1951 graduate of Berlin High School and served his country in the U. S. Army from 1957-1959. On December 12, 1959, he was united in marriage to Sandra Fink at Eureka United Methodist Church.

Jim dairy farmed with his wife Sandra from 1959-1993 in the Township of Bloomfield. For 12 years while farming, he was also a breeder for Carnation. Jim later worked six years at Saxeville Landfill. He was a member of Farm Bureau, the Township of Bloomfield Fire Department for 25 years and Poy Sippi United Methodist Church. Jim enjoyed raising chickens and going hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, especially with all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; five sons, Kyle Kettlewell, Neil Kettlewell, Gary (Tracy) Kettlewell, Paul (Laurie) Kettlewell and Dale (Betty) Kettlewell; eleven grandchildren, Andy (Chasity) Kettlewell, Kimberly Kettlewell (fiancé Jordan Grenier), Steven Kettlewell, Jennifer (Jesse) Spaeth, Michael Kettlewell, Kayla Zempel, Courtney Zempel, Gavian Kettlewell, Gretchen Kettlewell, Katrina (Shiloe) Viaw and Jesse Kettlewell; two step-grandchildren, Rusty Gimenez and Chris Gimenez; seven great- grandchildren, Autumn, Addalyn, Collin, Rylan, Madisen, Mia and Parker; five brothers, Ken (Wanda) Kettlewell, John Kettlewell, Richard Kettlewell, Robert (Diane) Kettlewell, and Wayne (Mary) Kettlewell. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jamie Ford; brother, Thomas Kettlewell; and sisters, Marion Kettlewell and Beverly Kettlewell.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Poy Sippi United Methodist Church, the Rev. George Groves officiating. Interment with military honors will be in Shead Island Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday, April 15 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin and again on Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
