Goldean D. Jorgensen

Goldean Dorothy Jorgensen, age 80, of Omro, formerly Waupaca, died peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at Webster Manor in Omro.

She was born June 6, 1939, in Shawano, the daughter of Earl and Dorothy Krause Dallman. Goldean was a 1957 graduate of Shawano High School. On April 2, 1960, she was united in marriage to David Jorgensen at Grace English Lutheran Church in Berlin. Goldean, alongside her husband, David, owned Jorgensen Farm Supply in Poy Sippi for several years. They also operated a successful dairy farm for many years in rural Omro.

Goldean was known for her friendly, outgoing nature. If you lost her in a store, all you had to do is wait a few seconds and you could track her down when you heard her infectious laugh or her happy voice. She was enthusiastic and always wanted to be a part of things, so she could help. Goldean was one of those people who just made you happy when you were in her presence. She had a talent for meeting a complete stranger and befriending them in a matter of minutes.

She was active in the church and had a strong faith in God. She considered it a privilege to pray for people. She was a member of the Borth United Methodist Church. Goldean’s hobbies included knitting and baking. She showed her love for others by cooking for them. She loved going to rummage sales and thrift stores to find bargains. Her greatest joy was to spend time with her great-grandchildren, grandchildren and children - in that order. She loved seeing her great-grandchildren on Snapchat and Facebook, so she could see their milestones and watch them grow.

She is survived by her children, Nancy (Randy) Brey, Chris (Coreen) Jorgensen and Andrew (Toni) Jorgensen; nine grandchildren, Matt (Stephanie) Crane, Courtney (Matt) Mathia, Chelsey (Brad Fuchs, Jens, Myles & Camryn Jorgensen, Vanessa Crane, Stephanie Brey and Stacie Brey; seven great-grandchildren, Noah Crane, Max Trudeau, Piper Crane, Bryler Mathia, Caynen Jorgensen, Ledger Mathia and Lara Fuchs; two sisters, Mary Strand and Cathy (Ron) Hoffman; brother, David Dallman; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Goldean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David, on January 3, 2019; and grandson, Clint Jorgensen, on March 2, 2019.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Borth United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be in Poy Sippi Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Time of Grace Ministry and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin.
