Carla J. Jirschele
Carla Jean Jirschele, age 78, of Berlin, died peacefully on Monday, November 1, 2021, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin.
She was born January 6, 1943, in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Clem and Ruby Wilson Tauschek. Carla was a 1961 graduate of Marshfield High School. On April 27, 1963, she was united in marriage to Marcus E. Jirschele.
Carla worked for the Oshkosh Northwestern in circulation and Gunderson Cleaners in Oshkosh. She enjoyed gardening, making dinners for family and spending time with her grandchildren, especially during the holidays. Family was her life. She also liked to play the slot machines, especially at Jorgie’s.
She is survived by her husband, Marcus E.; two sons, Scott Jirschele and Steve Jirschele; five grandchildren, Jennifer Jirschele, Calvin (Hailey) Jirschele, Nicholas Jirschele, Sean Jirschele and Benjamin Jirschele; two great-grandchildren, Ada and Stella Jirschele; one brother, Gary Tauschek; and one sister, Terri (Tom) Buttke. Carla was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Alicia Jirschele.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 6, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Rev.
