Jeanette A. Gallert

Jeanette Ann Gallert, age 81, of Berlin, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, February 14, 2015.

She was born October 2, 1933 in Markesan, WI, the daughter of Albert and Catherine Drolshagen Gallert. Jeanette lived most of her life in Berlin. She worked at Berlin Day Care and Fox River Industries, plus participated in Special Olympics, being named “Athlete of the Year” in 1996.

She enjoyed bowling, Bocce, T-ball, track and field events, latch hooking and watching old movies on TV. Jeanette is survived by her brother, Ervin Gallert; brother-in-law, Richard Hayes; sister-in-law, Judi Gallert; nieces and nephews, Patti (Dale) Herring, Cathy (Tim) Peschke, Mike Hayes, Bonnie Walker, Chuck Gallert, Jr., Jeff Gallert and Connie (Richard) May; ten great-nieces and nephews and two great-great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Margaret Wara, Charles Gallert and Shirley Hayes.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bryan G. Lundquist officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call on Thursday from noon until the time of services at Barbola Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be directed to Green Lake County Special Olympics.
