Rose A. Dehn

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Rose Ann Dehn, our loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all whose lives she touched. She left us while sleeping peacefully on November 18, 2020, at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She was in her 84th year.

Born on October 2, 1936, in Berlin, Wisconsin, Rosie enjoyed her childhood growing up on Water Street and spending time at her aunt and uncle's Poygan farm. After graduating from Berlin High School in 1954, she married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Dehn, on May 27, 1955. Rosie and Ronnie raised their children in the Dartford Road home where she lived for 50 years.

She will be sorely missed and survived by her daughters, Lori (Larry) Hollmaier and Teri (Paul) Phillippi; son David’s long-time partner, Trish Drover; grandchildren, Emily (Austin), Tracy (James), Thomas (Amy) and Evan; great-grandchildren, Liam, Jonah, Louise, Simon, Lucy and Edy Rose; brother, John (Gwen) Kellogg; and further survived by her sister-in-law, Clara Dehn; and brother-in-law, Robert Dirks. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Margaret Kwidzinski Kellogg; devoted husband, Ronnie; and sons, David and Douglas.

Rosie lived a full life as a wonderful mother and homemaker. She loved to bird watch, kept an immaculate house and had a smile that could light up a room. Rosie never turned down coffee and a good laugh with one of her many good friends. She enjoyed keeping tabs on her family especially adoring her role as “Big Grandma” and relished in hearing about her great-grandchildren’s antics.

Most of all, she loved her family and instilled in them strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A celebration of Rose’s life and inurnment at Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin will be held at a later date in 2021. Anyone wishing to send a sympathy card to the family, please mail card to Barbola Funeral Chapel c/o Rose Dehn, PO Box 201, Berlin, WI 54923.
