Mary L. Bier
Mary Lou Bier, age 68, of Neshkoro, died peacefully on Friday, January 20, 2017, at home with her family at her side.
She was born October 18, 1948, in Antigo, WI, the daughter of Wallace and Betty Baker Hintz. Mary was a 1967 graduate of Shawano High School. On October 18, 1986, she was united in marriage to Doug Bier at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Winchester.
Mary was a CNA at Friendship Manor in Winneconne. She loved horses, gardening, crocheting, reading mystery books, doing crafts and decorating with chicken items. She lived for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Doug; son, Tom Guden (fiancé Edi Helmuth); daughter, Tory (Bill) Behnke; four grandchildren, Ashley, Austin, Brielle and Samual; brother, David Hintz; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Wallace Hintz Jr. and Douglas Hintz.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, with a prayer service being held at 5:30 p.m. with Rev. Paul Brinkman officiating. The family extends a special thank you to Carol, Denny and Wendy and Deb for their help and care during this difficult time.
