Lorna Jean Balistrieri

Lorna Jean Balistrieri, age 82, died peacefully at Barrett House in Ripon on Thursday, January 16, 2014. She was born August 27, 1931 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Harry and Mildred Pagel Hanson. She graduated from Rufus King High School. She owned The Season’s Restaurant in Oconomowoc, and worked several other places as a waitress. Lorna is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Michael) Mielke of Neshkoro; two granddaughters, Cari Tetzlaff (Adam Bartlett) of Oshkosh, and Risa (Robert) Freund of Oshkosh; four sisters, Juanita Bork of Oslo, MN, Nadine Schuelke of Brookfield, Ramona Helz of Cedarburg, and Janet Hanson of Milwaukee; one brother, John (Connie) Hanson of Rhinelander. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin, the Rev. Dale Kastberg officiating. Following cremation, inurnment will be in Valhalla Cemetery, Milwaukee. Friends and relatives may call at Barbola Funeral Chapel on Tuesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
