Donald J. Baake
Donald John Baake, age 81, of Redgranite, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.
He was born November 2, 1937. He served his country in the U.S. Army. In 1962, he was united in marriage to Clare Canada. Don enjoyed race cars, motorcycles, gardening, feeding the birds, and could fix almost anything. He was a member of Laborers International Union of North America Local #113 in Milwaukee and First Congregational United Church of Christ in Redgranite.
He is survived by his daughter, Kim (Ted) Van Dellen; grandchildren; nieces and nephews; friends; and his cat, Pumpkin. Don was preceded in death by his wife in 2012; a son in 2010; and brothers and sisters.
Gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, September 8, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Redgranite. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel of Berlin.
