William F. Walker

William Ferguson Walker died at home on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Bill was the youngest of four siblings and was born on May 10, 1950, in Berlin, WI. He was a graduate of the University of Madison, WI, where he received a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy. He was a practicing pharmacist for almost thirty years. He also pursued a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling at UW-Stout. Bill always had a passion for learning and could often be found at home with a book in one hand and a yellow notepad taking copious notes with the other.

Bill’s favorite hobbies throughout his life were golfing and musky fishing. A few favorite spots were Palmer Lake, Twin Lakes, or around Conover, WI. When he wasn’t out on the water, you might have found him spending hours organizing and re-arranging his fishing tackle or perhaps even fishing in the living room. If Bill wasn’t off on his boat fishing, then you would have certainly found him out on the golf course. He had a knack for golf and loved golfing with family at the Waushara Country Club in Wautoma.

Bill’s greatest pride in his life were his two daughters. The girls have fond memories of camping, tubing on Silver Lake, weekend adventures at Lake Lucerne, and getting together with the entire Walker family where there was always a friendly competition of Trivial Pursuit being played.

He is survived by his two daughters, Alysha (Dr. John) Findley and Nikki Morrison; six grandchildren, Keaton, Keira, and Jack Findley, Malaki, Samara, and Naya Morrison; sister, Nancy Brooks and her children, Doug, David (Gina) and Tim Brooks, and Angela (Steve) March-Tormé; sister, Jeanie (Robert) Bruce and their children, Becky (Pete) Bruce-Allington, Bob (Cindy) Bruce, and Betsy (Brian) Bruce-DeMuri; and brother, Robert (Sandy) Walker and their kids, Sarah (Rob) Gilmore-Walker and Ann (Khai) Davis-Walker. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bessie Walker; grandparents, Ruby & Sidney Ferguson and Clarence & Nellie Walker; and his brother-in-law, Glenn Brooks.

Bill will always be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was dearly loved by his family and friends. A private Celebration of Life will be held for him. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin.
