Dorothy I. Sroka
Dorothy Irene Sroka, age 92, of Berlin, formerly of Redgranite, died peacefully on Friday, June 16, 2023, at ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin.
She was born July 22, 1930, in Ripon, WI, the daughter of Michael and Bernice Hielsburg Krinke. Dorothy was united in marriage to John Sroka. She worked in maintenance at Berlin Memorial Hospital. Dorothy gave so much of herself and expected nothing in return. Her biggest wish was to win the lottery big time, so she could give everyone a lot of money. She spent many an hour doing the most exquisite embroidery work ever done. Dorothy was truly the most humble and loyal person on the face of the earth and will be missed immensely.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sophie (Jeff) Wasniak; grandchildren, Sonia (Dan) Bohn, Jeff Wasniak Jr., and Michael’s children, Matthew, Adam, Joseph, Lucas, Amanda and Ben; great-grandchildren; her brother and sisters; nieces and nephews; and special friends, Kevin (Diana) and Hailey. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, John; and son, Michael Sroka.
Private family services will be held in Lakeview Memorial Chapel in Oshkosh. Entombment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park in Oshkosh. Arrangements have been entrusted to Barbola Funeral Chapel in Berlin.
